Remove the mechanism from the cabinet and cycle it out where you can watch the timing lever and the reel stop levers. Many times it is the reel stops that get sticky or gummed up with dried lube, this occurs when machines are left sitting for considerable lengths of time. I saw your post and thought some of those experts would comment sooner. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply. The mechanism has been disassembled cleaned and re lubed. Just can't seem to get the reels to spin fast enough. I have polished the shaft and checked for burrs on all the tubes.
