I haven't been to Chicago for over a decade, but am planning on going next month.

Question for those who have gone recently;
where is the best place to stay (I think I remember some posts that the Pheasant Run is now the Peasant Run Down)?

Can anyone sell in the paring lot on Friday?
I need to thin my collection and would like to sell a couple of slots.
If all you want to do sell, is it necessary to get there at sunrise on Friday?

For Dave:
Were you thinking of having a side meeting of COPS during the show?
(Never having seen the Sanfilllipio collection, I was planning on going there, so I would hope you would not meet Friday evening).

Thanks for any tips from the regular attendees.

Hi..... Been attending show for 18 years going back to old days......resort rooms are garbage....I stay at Hampton inn ....there is a hotel across from the show but by now probably sold out.....a lot of people stay at holiday inn express down the road.....things have changed as far as access to parking lot selling.....generally you have to have a sellers pass to drive into the sales area which means spending 200 plus for buyers space which allows you to sell om Friday you also get two 50 dollar passes that allow you unlimited access to the show during dealer set up and the following two days of the show. Some people sell the extra pass. On Thursday morning some people have set up across from the show and did some fast selling. But the last couple of shows they have been closed down rather quickly. I hope this has helped you somewhat.

I live locally but most of the folks are staying directly across the street at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Pheasant Run is run down from what I was told.
The Hilton across the street has been allowing people to sell in their lot on Thursday morning.
For a quick lunch there is a Culvers across the street. The snack bar at the show is bad.
You must pay a fee to sell in the show lot on Friday.
The cash register guys setup at the Holiday Inn Express on Apr. 3. This is about a mile to the west on North Ave.

Are you bringing any trade stimulators? I will be there on Friday & Sunday. Ken Durham lets myself & a friend sell a few things.
I will be in Booth D-1 just to the right as you enter the main showroom

PS: You can visit Fred AKA "The Vegas Chop Shop" Look for the Bent Coin on the west wall of the main building.
