Watling Venders - Glass or Solid Interchangeable?

Hi Guys

Although I don't own a Watling (Yet!!! Still looking), just wondered if any owners could clear up this question. I notice some venders on the front of a Rol-A-Top either have a solid front or a glass window. If I bought the solid type, can the inner part be removed and replaced with glass so mints can be seen.
Or would I have to buy 2 replacement front doors. I have included pictures for reference.

When new, the machine came with doors that you could put glass in or you could put in the aluminum inserts. Two 6/32 screws with metal tabs hold in the glass. Take out the glass out and the inserts fit right in that space. Some vender doors are either solid or have glass and are not interchangeable. The Superior Horse Race also came with long inserts that fit in the front cover to hide the mints just like the Rol-A-Top.
