Help with 5 jacks machine

Postby gumball43 » Mon May 07, 2007 3:53 pm

Hi, I got my five jacks machine today. There was a weight lying down in the bottom when I opened the machine. I am hoping someone can look at my pictures to see if I have it right. There are 5 little rods with a red triangle on the end of them, that fit into the small slots where the penny is supposed to land and you win that jackpot. I don't know if they are supposed to be in the slots or not. Looks like if they just set in the slot that there is no way a penny could fall in the slot...so I am thinking I got something not hooked up right. Any help or direction to some help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Steve I just looked at mine. The weight is in the correct position. The rods just hang loose at the position that you have them now.

Thanks for the reply...I am not sure what those rods are supposed to do. But I think I need to raise the weight a bit, so they have more movement. If they stay inside the slots, a penny won't be able to drop in there...at least that is what it looks like to me...I will play some more.

Thanks again, Steve

This could be a tilt mechanism.

It definitely looks like a tilt mechanism. Of the machine is tilted it is probasbly supposed to prevent the penny from landing in the slot.

The red tabs and rods are definitely a tilt mechanism to prevent a penny from entering the payout slot by manipulating the machine.

If they are properly adjusted, they will stay out of the way when the machine is upright and slide over the slots if the machine is tilted.

I understand how it works now...I need to do a little adjusting and they will be out of the way when standing up...Thanks again for all the help.
