Witch Hunt???

Postby ran250 » Sat Jun 16, 2007 8:20 pm

Dave, I placed a question in the e-bay forum and I think people might be shy to answer. Perhaps if you could post a reply I might get more feedback from others. I call this witch hunt because I have been dealing with slot machines on e-bay for more than 7 years. Sorry but living in Florida I really have no other means to sell them. When I first got into selling slot machines on ebay I was always asked questions like how does it work, condition, payouts, etc.. I have recently sold a few machines and now I am bombarded with questions about authenticity. Could it be that while trying to educate people about reproduction machines they have gotten to the point where they assume everything is a fake. I realize this can be said of any type of collectible. My beef is that this machine that I have sold I will most likely get a negative feedback. The castings are probably the best condition castings that I have ever seen with their original paint. Is it worth it for people to destroy or part out a machine that they feel is a reproduction? I have always tried to be educated in this hobby because I truly enjoy the coin op machines.

Thanks,
Randy
