Where does this part go?

I have a Mills Diamond Front 10 cent slot machine, circa 1939, that I disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled. The machine works fine except that its a dime short on all payouts except the 2- and 5-dime payouts. I remember removing this part and have a general idea where it might go but before I disassmble the machine again, I'd like to be sure of where it goes and what it does. Can anyone assist.

Retiredmcpro,
Try playing your machine with mercury dimes and you will find out it pays correctly. Our new money doesn't wear. Slides were made to pay out average worn coins. I think that part screwed onto the slide stack cover to keep coins from falling down in front of slides and causing a jam. That part doesn't affect payout. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

I think it mounts to the top front of the payout slide cover and brackets the vertical facing payout slide stop at the front of the slides. If that's correct, you don't have to take anything apart, just remove one screw. Good luck. Tim.
