Help in Identifying Gum Machine
Posted: Mon Jan 19, 2009 7:50 pmFound this at the flea market about 15 years ago but didn't get around to restoring it until last year. Have exhausted all the local 'talent' for an approximate date/name but it measures about 18" tall and about 7" square at the cast iron base. Middle column rotates in four positions and when a nickel is deposited, the top rod is pressed to dispense a package of gum. Sheet metal was sandblasted and repainted with Krylon Flat White, then buffed to approximate the porcelain-coated base and top. Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide!
