Hi

I’m new to this, but it’s been interesting learning about the slot machines. I received an old slot machine from my mom that had been sitting around forever. From what I researched I think it is a Jennings Rock-Ola Gooseneck. I know that there are people out there that refurbish these machines, but I would like to do it myself. There are a few parts that need replacing and I’m missing the back to it. I have a few questions:

1. Does anyone have a back? 12 3/8” wide X 14 ¾” long
2. I have a broken piece that the coins go down. (see pic)
3. I need to clean the machine. What works well and what do you use to lube it?
4. Are there any books available?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Try calling Chuck Priday (303 466 7779) for parts.

Regarding restoration, there is a DVD which documents the complete restoration of an antique slot machine. It documents a Mills Castle Front but the Jennings gooseneck is similar (except for jackpot and escalator).

Go to http://www.ibuyoldslots.com/dvd/ to see if it is available. It is not uncommon for it to be sold out.

FYI, I did the DVD.

Good luck with the machine.
