Hello all,
This is Mark, co-admin on newlifegames.com with some sad news:
I'm not sure if this was posted here - I don't see it anywhere, but Dave Montanari of Monti's Slots has passed away. I was informed yesterday by a friend of his, though David's son, also David.
I kept in touch him by email fairly frequently and knew he was very upset over the loss of his wife but I'm still in shock after hearing this sad new.
Thought the members here might need to know this.

I am sorry to hear of his passing. It will be a great loss to this community as I am on both forums.

Terribly saddened by this news-- Monti was a very helpful and big-hearted guy, and his passing is a major loss to vintage slots collectors, restorers and enthusiasts of all stripes.

Monti had recently helped me with problems I was having with a hand load jackpot Castle Front machine. He was very knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction. He will be greatly missed.

I am really sorry to hear this.

I never met him in person but we communicated quite a bit over the years via email.

If anyone knows of an online obituary please post it.

Dave Burritt

Monti was a great guy, extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. One of he remaining old times who actually worked in the slot dept in Tahoe back in the day. RIP my friend...
You will be missed....Ken Nerlove

So sad to see this. Only knew Monti last few years. He was terribly affected by loss of his wife to mis diagnosed pancreatic cancer. We loved to reminisce about old days. I still have several text conversations saved in my phone with him. So sorry to hear. Steve Lojeski
