Watling 1936 no payout.

I purchased a Watling from 1936 and the mech works just fine except for the payout. I hear the 5 clicks when the machine is finished.
The payout fingers do go in the disc so that part works. When the machine is finished I see some movement of the payout slides (back and forth) and they can move a little when I pull them.
Only the top one does not move but I don't know if that is normal or not.

I got 3 bells and see some movement of the pay finger but it does not hit the lever, I don't know the technical process so hope for some help.

Thanks

Two things to start with, first check to make sure there isn’t a nickel on its side. If no, cycle the mech out of the cabinet, stop the clock and make sure the arm has swung behind and holding the master slide. This would be my first guess for your problem. If arm is sticky, it can’t swing behind the master slide in time to hold the slide stack.

George,
Thanks for your reply and I will try to understand what you mean, it is not my native language. I will check the nickel first and then do your next step.
