how rare is a good condition 1937 mills bursting cherry machine were there alot of them produced how do you find out details on machine and can you order book on mechanics and how to maintain Any help is appreciated

They are not rare or even uncommon, that's why there are many for sale on Ebay. There were lots produced and lots have survived. Mills made a great mechanism and they are real work horses. Actual production amounts, I'm sure are unkown. Dave, whose site this is, made a CD for the Mills mech and is quite good for repair. A good book is the Meade/Geddes Mills repair manual. You can find them on Ebay or contact Meade Publishing but they may be out of print. Rule of thumb, if there is 4 or 5 of something for sale on Ebay, it's not rare. Some guy has his Bursting Cherry listed for sale as "Very, Very rare." Just because an individual has not seen a lot of something before, that does not make it rare.
