Charles:
From what I can detect, it appears to be an original Five Jacks, although someone has painted the wood case in the past.
The 'IFFY' part is the front casting. It looks a bit rough, as the originals had smoother surface areas, and sharper detail.
Being as this model has been Reproduced, it could very well be a recast front, because the original was broken at one time.
There are also some critical parts missing on the mechanism, just from what I see in the one photo. Myself, I would stay
away from this auction, unless you are mechanically inclined, and want the challenge of making it complete & presentable,
as there are others that show up on a regular basis. Just remember to stay away from the Repro's, unless that is what you want.
The repro's are generally in the $325 to $375 range. On the other hand, if you would like a real nice original, there has been one
relisted numerous times on eBay, with an opening bid of $5,800, and a Buy-It-Now of $10,000. Someone is in DREAMLAND!
