Newest Mills Mis-match fron castings

Postby flipper77 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 10:37 am

Lord forbid if the uneducated or devious eBayer with the obvious Futurity/Castle Front abomination sees the current Cherry/Bonus mis-match eBay 251323698407. The seller will again claim this as evidence that Mills created these special order treaures. Great - just great!

Flipper:
Rest assured that the clown with the Castle/Futurity mis-match will not even notice this other configuration. He's not that smart, and obviously isn't 'machine-savy'.

This is what I dropped in markplante's lap:

(It should be noted in your description, so as not to defraud any of your bidders, that this machine is NOT factory original. It is a mis-match, that was most likely
switched by an operator at one time, which was common practice. There have been many odd combinations of dual-casting machines showing up for several years.
Your machine has a Bursting Cherry upper front, and a Horsehead Bonus lower front. You can also see where the lower casting was altered just above the jackpot,
so that the center cherry badge would fit more flush.)

It will be interesting to see if any changes are noted.

it is interesting to note that mark plante is a knowledgable coin-op dealer, and has had many coin machines listed over the years, but that he failed to mention this OBVIOUS
CASTING MIS-MATCH.
I do not recall ever seeing anything hokey, or, deceptive in any of his previous listings, so, when i saw this listing, i have to admit that i was a bit surprised by his failure to mention it. .

Waa-Laa! Here is my response from markplante:

(Will do ...thank you for the keen eyes! I didn't know!!)

Maybe he wasn't as familiar with as many machines as we thought he was.
I checked the listing, and he did add that the lower casting is from a Horsehead.
Some things happen for the better, I suppose!
