VERY VAGUE DESCRIPTION FOR THIS MACHINE

Postby Midcoast Vintage » Mon Jan 27, 2014 8:32 pm

FROM THE PICTURES, THIS MACHINE LOOKS STRAIGHT, BUT.... READ THE DESCRIPTION V-E-R-Y CAREFULLY.
HE SEEMS TO CONTRADICT HIMSELF...."MAY BE THIS... MAY BE THAT", AND OTHER QUESTIONABLE STATEMENTS.

Machine looks to be all original including back door, lock, key and cash box. Without a picture of the mechanism out of the case it appears to have been cleaned and overhauled like he says in his description and it is the correct mechanism for this machine.

I would take time to re-read the ad, and, compare what he states in the description with what shows in the pictures:
silver reel strips.... NOT CORRECT FOR THIS ERA MACHINE.
ad states machine has been completely torn down blasted, powder coated, etc.... WHEN? LOOK AT THE PICS CLOSELY...NOTICE ALL THE PAINT CHIPS ON TOP CASTING ABOVE ESCALATOR, AND OTHER PLACES.
this machine HAS NOT been completely tore down, blasted, powder coated, restored, as he states in the ad.
yes, machine is MOSTLY original, but the this guys stuff has been brought up on this forum many times in the past as being questionable.
I have emailed him on a few different machines he has listed in the past as to originality... (he obviously deals in enough machines to know what time of day it is)... and rather than give a straight / honest answer, his reply would be "PLEASE DO NOT BID ON MY ITEMS".
that is just not a professional way to reply.

Looks to me like he was using a selling template and just didn't take the wording about restoration out. Anyone that looks at all knows this was not a full restoration....not recently anyway.
