Honest Sellers????

When I sell something on ebay, I fell responsible for the accuracy of the item description and will post all relevant questions I get on the item.

Seems to me not many sellers do that; current examples;

1. There is a Zephyr trade stimulator for sale and the seller claims there were only 79 of them made. We all know that is way off. I asked where he got that figure and checked the web site he gave me. I checked and got back to him; he misread the information on the web site. He agreed he misread it, but wasn't going to update his listing; anyone bidding "should know better." Pity the beginner who thinks it's rare with hopes of retoring it.

2. There is a Rock Ola Hold and Draw TS (actually 2 from the same seller). On one (maybe both), if you look close at the only picture of the mech, the main operating lever is broken in half with no mention of it in the description. The listing says he has a piece that goes with it, but no picture or description of the piece. It may be the bottom half of the operating lever. I pointed out the broken lever to him and described the bottom half; no response. Too bad if you're not familiar with this mech and don't notice the broken lever.

I have noticed the same thing on eBay. Many times I have asked for additional pictures but they never put them up. Then there are the jerks that put up a trade stimulator that is worth $400.00 at the most. They start the bidding at $1000.00 and keep re-listing it over and over again.

I fortunate that I only have a 45 minute drive to the Chicagoland show. There are some honest sellers there with nice machines. I try to find something to buy each show.
