He does it again, fresh out of "Sin City". We know who he is. Fresh off the assembly line. This is a Buckley, Tavern, Bar Boy & Ball Gum all rolled into one. This is one stop shopping for everything on your Christmas list.

This guy is also selling a set of original 1935 Buckley reel strips and award card.
Gee, I wonder where they came from.
In his listing for the reel strips, he has the gaul to say
"Why settle for reproductions when you can have originals!!"

You're right on with the Buckley. But there is NO SUCH THING as a Buckley "Bar Boy". This WAS originally a "Cent-A-Pack", that he tore the naneplate off the top, to expose the Ball Gum lettering. Then installed incorrect repro Tavern reel strips, and a made-up award card, which had the Tavern name changed to Bar Boy. This once perfectly good original machine, has now been turned into a PHONEY piece-of-crap. He has had two others just like this on eBay in the past. One buyer found out what he had bought from some other collector, and when he tried to get the seller to take back his phoney misrepresented machine, he flat-out lied to him, and wouldn't do anything about it. To make matters worse, eBay stood behind the seller. Just under 10 min. after listing this junk machine, he puts the reel strips & award card on that came out of it. Plus, the child doesn't even know what he is listing. They are NOT out of a Penny Smoke. It is NOT just a 1c set. They are for multiple coin. They are NOT 10 stop - 10 symbol. Learn how to count! Then he has the balls to make a two-faced comment about "why settle for repro's, when you can have originals". Well then, why weren't the originals left in the damn machine that they came in, so that a true collector can purchase a machine that is original and correct? Oh yeah, and now he is 'cleaning out the garage'. Guess the shop is empty now! This clown really has to proud of himself for all of the collectors that he has shafted with this phoney crap over the years. I know for a fact, that he first started making the Phoney Tavern's many-many years ago, when he lived in another state, before moving to his beloved Sin City. When I first talked to him about not making up the Phoney's, he laughed, and thought it was very funny. Yeah, it's funny alright. As I have said before, he is going to mess with the wrong person sooner or later. He puts on a phoney-friendly facade when dealing with you with one hand, as he gives you the 'green weenie' with the other. Another thing he is famous for, are the phoney made-up Jennings 'light-up front' slots. 'Once a child, always a child'! If any of you new collectors in our hobby, that are part of this forum group, please be aware of what you are buying on eBay, the Chicago Show, and the VCA auctions. As you will find these Phoney Bogus machines at all of them.

I can only imagine what my late friend, and machine historian Dick Bueschel would be saying about all this, as he was flat-out against any kind of repro machine. He had said to me once, "how would you feel, if you had a one-of-a-kind, or one of a very few known machine, and then all of a sudden, there were numerous repro phoney's on the market"? I totally agreed with him, and have been adamant about the subject myself since I started collecting. For as much of this crap that is being sold to our vast number of uninformed collectors, that have not done their homework when entering a new hobby, the word has not been spread around fast enough to stop it. I feel sorry for all of those that have bought a phoney, and will be stuck trying to recoup later, when they want to off-load it. The two machines that were BASTARDIZED in the last six months, that irritate me the most, were two Perfectly-Good-Original Caille "Jr Bell" machines, that were purchased by our friendly-clown on eBay, and transformed into PHONEYOLA 'BaseBall' theme examples, with bogus made-up strips, cards & decals. One was resold on eBay, and the other sold in the last VCA auction. This early model, is one that does not show up very often in decent original condition as it is. Then when one or two does, the wrong person gets their hands on them, to made JUNK out of them. This is what you would call "A SIN, IN SIN CITY"! The child must be real proud of this as well.
