Jiffy with Fruit Reels

It's a Daval Jiffy with fruit reel strips and no-name award card.

I thought this machine was only made in the Jiffy version (cigarette strips/award card) or the Heads or Tails version (specialty strips).

Are the fruit strips/award card original for this machine?

Daval did three variations in this case style. The two more commonly known, are the "Jiffy" with cigarette reels, and
the "Heads or Tails" with the coin strips. For some unknown reason, the fruit symbol version never had a name. They
used the same reel strips as the "American Eagle", and the award card is a sized-down example that was used in their
"Bell Slide". I do have several serial numbers on file from the first two, but less than a half dozen on the fruit model,
to determine just how many they may have made, and when. From all of the research that Dick Bueschel and I were
doing for so many years, Daval had a different system for serialing their machines, than the other mfrs. They did not
have a serial range for each model. Most models overlapped for a long period, although I have found a couple that are
only grouped in a certain time period, like the "Cub" & "Ace", and some of those are hard to place in the serial group,
because they only had a single letter stamped on the bottom. But even more confusing, some of them are found with
a serial number, and an isolated letter. The largest group of single model serials, are near the end of Daval's mfg. days,
before they sold out to Comet Industries in late 1948. That model is their "Free Play", which they made for several years.
Those serials are in the highest number range, and for another unknown reason, many of those serials had the letter 'S',
either before or after the number. Even though the largest number of serials I have on file, are for Daval machines, I still
need many more, in order to determine just what models were produced longer than others. Many collectors have been
sending me their serials on a regular basis, which I have always appreciated. Those of you that do not know me as yet, I
would welcome any & all trade stimulator serials that you can share. I may already have some on file, if you bought a
machine from someone that had previously sent it to me, but I have no way of knowing until I see the number, because
that is how they are filed. You can send your serials to <slotdynasty@sbcglobal.net> Also, many machine models came
in only one configuration of strips and card, but I do also need to know which reel strips, and coinage of models like
Daval "American Eagle", "Marvel", etc. The few "Comet" models that Daval produced before selling out, had serials. But
when Comet Industries continued production in 1950, they did not serial them.

It's amazing the knowledge that is available here and maybe nowhere else!

When I saw the one listed on Flebay, I suspected that it was original, but never saw the third version of this machine before (or just haven't been paying attention).

I did not mention you by name without your permission.
I also asked him to check for a serial number, but have not heard back.

Altort; I'm assuming the one in your photo has the same award card as the one on Flebay;
that no-name card just seems a tad big for the frame, almost as if this version was an afterthought;
I can just imagine the day they were made:

Daval worker; "Hey Boss, we've got a batch of Jiffy machines ready to complete but we're out of award cards and strips."
Boss: "Terrific; our card supply guy is off fishing and won't be back for a week."
Big Boss: "I've got a buyer for those machines; I don't care how you do it, have them done by the end of the day!"

My Marvel is 62426. Stamped on the base, penny play, ciggie strips, token payout and the reels are bugged.
I suspect slotdynasty you'll have this info already as I bought it from America ten-odd years ago.
