I constantly preach to people, especially newbies, about staying away from all Jennings Light-Up models, as a vast majority of them
on the market, are not originals, and have been made-up from repro kits. All color plastics have been repro'd for some time. Way too
many people have been snookered by these phonies. The Las Vegas Butcher Shop has been doing them for several years, and has them
at every Chicago Show, and in every VCA Auction. The seller with the one you sent the link to, I don't know much about him. He states
that this machine is 'All Original', and it looks like it probably is, but I wouldn't jump on it, because of the price. I think it's a bit high.
Being as you are just starting out, there are plenty of other models that haven't been reproduced, that you can be safe with. One of the
best ways to buy, is 'Dirty Original', to be safe. Read everything you can in this Forum, about what to look out for, in the way of Repro,
Phoney, Bogus, Fantasy, (or whatever other else they are called), to be protected as best you can. Welcome to the hobby, and Good Luck.

I've known this collector for many years. He is a very picky collector and always pays a good price for nice original machines and is usually at the higher end of the selling spectrum but his machines are always above average in quality.

Bill,
So where in the world can I buy reproduction plastics for a Jennings slot? I've got a Sweepstakes and a Tic Tac Toe that need plastics, and I've been trying to locate some originals or reproduction ones for YEARS!!

I have saved searches set up on Ebay for "Jennings Slot", "Jennings Chief", "Jennings plastics", and several other "jennings" things, and I have yet to see a set of the plastic light up parts for sale in the past 2 years. A lot of the light sockets and other parts come up for sale, but I must be doing something wrong because I NEVER see the light up plastic columns/pilasters come up for sale....
So if ANYONE has a source, PLEASE let me know!!!!!!!

Be aware there are no lights on this machine.

I didn't know that...but now looking at the machine its obvious.
Can I add lights since the plastic is already there.
Or is that a total no no.
Thanks

I asked him why it had no lights and he said it was a model that came from the factory like this with no lights. He has others that do have lights, contact him. I would think it would be better to buy one that came the way you want. They make reproduction wiring harnesses but I would think an original harness would be hard to find.
