Check out Ebay item # 310018591684 Mills Hightop. This is a slot that was converted by Brainerd-Baxter in the 70's to a token vender. Notice the front coin slide on the bottom casting. These were placed in tourist locations around the country, when you put a quarter in and pull the handle the reels spin and it would dispence a souvenir token. No payout slides, no payout fingers, no esculator, no jackpot etc. I emailed the seller and he still hasn't corrected his listing. He comes back with the generic answer [I don't know anything about slot machines].

That thing brought good money! $897

I wonder if the buyer knows what he just bought.

It originally sold for over $1200.00, but the high bidder didn't pay so this is a relist. The buyer is in for a surprise when he receives this dog.

I was talking to a fellow collector in this area [Mn], and he told me that this Brainerd-Baxter outfit is still in business and still has machines out on location. He was up in the Brainerd area a few years ago and ran into the owner and was shown his warehouse. He had pallets of these machines in storage, mostly Hightops, Black Cherrys and Diamond fronts. I am willing to bet the seller of this machine on Ebay is that owner. Be on the watch for more of these to show up on Ebay.
