Major EBAY WARNING
I have a machine on Ebay right now. In my description I have my payment terms. Well I got an email that looked exactly like a question for my item. Here is the text below.
[i]Dear unclemuchie,
This is exactly what I`m looking for. I have all the necessary funds available. Before I proceed I would like to know what type of payment method do you accept? I`m hidding my email for privacy, you can reply using the yellow button. I`m looking to close a deal soon, so a quick reply will be welcomed. Looking forward to hear from you..
The wording caught my eye. Why would he ask about Payment terms when I have them listed. Why would he say he has the funds, when the auction has 7 days to go and he does not know the price it will bring. Also why is he telling me to push the yellow button?
Sure enough it was a fake email. If I clicked to respond, he would have had my password to rob my account. Another thing to look out for.
