Payout On a 1945? Mills Black Cherry dime slot

Postby imjoebill » Thu Nov 22, 2007 11:03 am

I have what I think is a "1945" Mills Black Cherry dime slot.
It is mechanically sound and works fine. My problem is that my payout
is off. Is there a way to "reset" the 3 wheels to the proper location so the symbols line up properly to the corsponding payout? At this time I get a payout when the symbols don't show a win and don't get one when they do. Any information or direction to this question would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.

Mills cherry pay outs

HI

You have to loosen the reel hub bolts or screws and then you can move the outside reels. Your reel strips might have moved or sliped in the tin reels. You might have the wrong reel strips in it. There is no quick fix for this problem that I know of. Good luck.

Assuming the reel strips match the payout discs, this is an easy fix. If they don't then you are screwed.

There are two nuts on each reel that hold it to the axle. If you look between the reels you should see these nuts. You will need a socket wrench with an extender to get to the nuts.

If you turn each nut about half a turn counter clockwise you should be able to realign the reels with the payout discs. Once the alignment is set just tighten the nuts back up.

If you don't know how to align the reels with the payout discs let me know and I will provide futher details.

Payout not correct on Mills Black Cherry

Many times the reels strips symbols don't line up with the holes. First check to make sure that your machine is in the correct payout position, I have pictures posted on my "me " page under mtslots on ebay. If your machine payouts are not locked out, then you can check the stamping on the reel disc. It should be stamped like CH-1, Sp_1. Then you can check to see if you have the right strips by gently prying up the seam and seeing what the code is stamped on the reel strip. If you are unsure, email me with the reel bundle stamping and the reel strip code. I ofter just lift the brake stop lever on the first reel Wheel and go thru each symbol by watching the fingers you know where the discs are set and then you can see how far you are off. You may just be off a few sybols on one reel. . You should be able to see if the reel strip has slipped. Try pushing the reel strips, if they are loose, you know that is your problem. Also try pushing the disc, if one moves then thats where your problem is.
