It is a penny Rol-A-Top (Coin Front), that sold at an auction in IL.
22.5% buyer's premium for Internet bidders and 20% for in-person bidding.
In addition, IL sales tax is 10.25%
I contacted the auction company before the bidding to see what the in-person juice was and they told me 20%
Once I heard that, I didn't even bother contacting people that I know in the area.
The machine actually went pretty cheap, $3,000. So even after the $675 premium it looks like the buyer got a decent machine at a decent price (penny RATs are pretty hard to find).
I wonder how many other interested parties didn't bother with this auction because of the rediculous fees.
I know I would never give my stuff to an auction company that charged so much.
I wonder how much they took from the seller.
