It all depends on the particular model.

Some Caille machines sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars, others only sell for a few hundred dollars and most sell for in between.

Caille machines were made in Detroit.

Thanks Dave, The reason I asked was a friend of mine has a phonix 1930's and said it silver plated. If that is true is it factery made that way or was it done later?

Caille Slots

The Caille Sphinx was made in the early 30's. There are 2 different cabinet versions of them. They also came in 3 and 4 reel models. They are not rare but not nearly as common as the Caille Superior. The Caille Brothers sold the company in I believe the mid '30's. The new company went on to produce the Cadet, Dictator and others. These machines are worth much less than the ones made when the Caille family owned the company. The Sphinx was only polished and painted, not plated.
