"The Jockey" horserace game

Howdy folks-
I'm new to the site, seems like a wealth of info. My dad gave my brother a cool little penny operated machine. This machine has 6 marbles of different colors, colors representing a horse from the 20-30's. You put a penny in, pull a handle and that brings the marbles up to the top of the box, they roll out and race down the ramps. First one to the bottom wins. The machine is a dark wood with glass front. There is color graphics on the game face and the game is called "The Jockey" but I cannot find a manufactures name. I've been searching online for a while now to find another but have not seen one. I did see one on Ebay called "church hill downs." Machine was similar but very plain looking to this one my brother has called "The Jockey"

I guess I am just looking for general info on the unit. I do have pictures and can post them.

thanks for the photo, would it be possible to see a photo of the bottom section of the front where all the written info is? dose the machine have any payout system?

Just so happen I did have a picture of that but not sure how good it is.

It does not pay out and it does say on the machine that it is not for betting. My dad got the machine in the late 40's as a gift and all he can remember was that it came out of a barber shop in Aurora Illinois, where he lived.

the horse names, if I can remember them are, zev, tick on, gallant fox, twenty grand, burgo king and man o war. I may have miss spelled a bit, it's been a while.

according to Dick Bueshel's book, "One of the outstanding games of 1932 was Steeplechase by Kenney and Sons and Exhibit Supply......Widely copied..."
This looks like one of those copies.
There should be a clue on it somewhere as to who made it.
What is that lump on top, just right of the coin drop?

I believe it has something to do with leveling the machine. It's a site glass with a marble that sits on a pedestal. That's my best explanation. I do not have a better picture

with its background,its no payout and its wording its almost certainly a trade stimulator from the late 1930's. early 40's(although its design is much earlier) The horse names are interesting and date it about then,'ma-o,war' was one of the two most famous horses in US racing history and 'twenty grand' was so famous that a brand of cigarates was named after him and they always appears on trade stim machines with cig brands on the reels. a great machine to own

no doubt it's a great machine. My dad was a bit reluctant to allow us kids to play with it as we were growing up. At times he would get it out and we would all play with it as a family for an hr or more. I was always the blue marble (tick-on), each family member had their own horse, it was a good time. About 5 years ago I asked my dad about the machine and he said my brother asked for it so he gave it to him, I was 5 years late,,,lol

I live 450 miles from my brother so that is why I want one for myself. I just have NEVER seen another nore can find a shred of info online on this particular game. I called my bro a few days ago and he looked the game over closely and said there is not a single identification marking anywhere. The lock on the back says Chicago and that's it, nothing else
