Repair 1974 Bally's Big Time nickel slot machine (model1015)

Hello all, I am new to this forum and I am looking to sell my dad's slot machine for him that he acquired through trading labor. When we received it the 110v plug was trashed so I made a quick fix and thru some wire nuts on a new power cord. Works great except I cannot figure out how to get the machine to fully function. I am not sure if this is a quarter or nickel machine either. I checked the fuses and they are in working order, but I did not replace them.

I am attempting to find some information on this machine to see what it is worth. On the inside on the hopper it states that it is for $0.25 but on the front it shows 5c. The model number on the inside shows 1015 as well. If anyone has any information about it I would greatly appreciate it. He traded some labor for $500 so I am not sure what we are working with. I have only been able to find the $0.25 version online without the upper half of the machine. I am also look to find someone who has the knowledge to help me fix it as I am a mechanical engineer and feel that once someone can view the photos and video of the issue it would be simple to diagnose.

First get a bally manual for your machine and check if the coin slot and meck will take a 5 cent or 25 cent coins.

Thank you radiorich! Any idea on a good place to start looking for the manual? I haven't seen a lot online about this machine let alone a place to search for manuals.

This manual is for your machine. BALLY SLOT MACHINES THE COMPLETE SERVICE MANUAL FOR 1964-1980 This book should help for bally slots from model 809 to model 1090

Another great book is the "Owner's Pictorial Guide For the Care and Understanding of The Bally Slot Machine" by Robert Geddes and Dan Mead. It covers models 742 through 1206.

I emailed you a detailed trouble shooting guide for the machine and the coin acceptor made by Coin Mech on the inside of the door should be marked for coinage used as well!
Sometimes interior parts where either changed out or miss marked by slot techs in the casino with black felt tips markers so don't take those as gospel!
I also stock and sell Bally E/M parts which cover your progressive style slot machine!

The nice thing about Bally electromagnetical slot machines. Once you've got it all figured out, you can pretty well work on any of them.

Thank you Monti for sending over the troubleshooting guide. I am currently reviewing this. If all else fails, is there a good contact in Orange County or within Southern California I can reach out to that would repair this machine anyone may know of?

I just emailed you a PDF copy of the Bally Manual #2400, being a direct from Bally Manual it would be the best one, there are others available but they are pretty much partial copies of the one I emailed you!
The one I emailed is my main Bally Manual in the shop that I also use for part numbers when parts orders are placed with our shop!
