Ballys Quarters (new to me)

Today I purchased my first slot machine but I know next to nothing about them. I have attached a photo.

What I know so far...
There is no ID plate where I have read that I should expect one. So I don't know the model number. It looks similar 1970s Era ones online. I though maybe a "1088" but when I looked up a manual it was for a video machine. Any help with model number and where I can get a correct manual would be greatly appreciated.

My 4 year-old and I blew through about 50 quarters today. We had a couple wins but no payouts. Cherries didn't pay out, not did getting triple blue (grapes? Olives? Whatever the are?).

Additionally, sound doesn't work, nor do the top lights.

The bottom collection tray is missing.

The left cylinder seems to have dents in varoous places.

The center cylinder sometimes does not rotate very much.

Apologies if I am using the wrong terminology. Literally this is my first day with it. Any suggested books or links to repair manuals?

Did you get a key? Can you open it and show the inside guts? AKA mech. It’s a Bally case but may be a summit conversion.

No key. That was my next question. Can I find keys online or do I need to drill the lock to open it up?

You will not likely find a key. You will need to pick it or drill it. Also, the regular poster on NLG in AK is a locksmith.

I tried NLG first, but their new user registration is turned off. Browsing I did see similar machines but without an account I could not post.

I may try drilling tomorrow and if successful will post a photo of the inside.

(I am currently outside of Pittsburgh, but AK is always home.)

I’ve drilled a few slots with no issues but some guys will tell you to pick the lock instead. I’m also on NLG but my dad has been trying to get in for a while and also can’t register

I tried again to register last night on NGL and it worked.. but have not posted yet.

As for drilling out the lock, any advice? My only concern is not going too deep and hitting something I shouldn't.

Mechanical Win Meter

I still have yet to open it, but I am guessing it is not a summit conversion because if it was, I think the win meter on the top right would be a LED instead of the mechanical counter that I have.

I had sent an email to one of the NLG moderators regarding the issue you and 702collector were having with registration. As for drilling out the lock. Bally machines can sometimes be a pain because of the lock bar. Quite often the machine will need to be turned upside-down or laid on their back (using the drop hole for access) for that lock bar to release. However, in your case. You are missing the coin tray. Once the lock is drilled out you should be able to reach up inside and push up on the lock bar.

You will find on NLG most of the guys like to go the lock pick route as we like the challenge.... If you post a photo of the lock, we can tell you if it's an easy one or not.

Now, the sound. The only sound that the machine should have is possibly a bell that rings with a jackpot or high pays. Unless it's an E-series machine. But it appears to me that it is just a standard EM machine.
