Sega Diamond 3 Star question

Postby tjankovs » Mon Sep 01, 2025 5:09 pm

Hi Everyone.

I am working on a '70 Sega machine and this metal plug keeps falling out at the beginning of the escalator. Does anyone know if this is a press fit or is there a bracket missing?

Any input appreciated!

Thanks

I fixed it by adding a small steel tab to one of the empty machined holes on the piece. I guess there was a bracket at some point.

Here is an escalator pic from my Sega high top, looks like the door was removed and covered. Coins do get jammed sometimes. I expect your escalator is the quick roll off type as well, Nice fix.

Your escalator looks very much like a Mills, another pic

Good Pic Wallruss001. I imagine that dual screw cover is what went missing at some point, then the slug was created an jammed in there. 2hr of play on the fix and at appears good!

Sega isn't the most popular in the US, but have some good play features. I like Caille too, and just got my first Columbia Groetchen. Aristocrat too.
Enjoy tour machine!
