I found Mills locks

Postby just frank slots » Mon Dec 29, 2025 4:31 pm

Hi,
I just found these Mills slot machine locks at an antique shop near my house. I have 6 for $6.00, I bought all of them... Five of the six are chrome and one is brass. The five chrome are a little different from the brass... Do anyone out there know anything about these and did I get ripped off... I took photos of just two of them so I could get a good close-up photo...Please let me know.

Wonderful, that's good news to hear... The chrome ones are a little different, are they newer or older? Maybe a hightop? What year abouts?

Considering you got them super cheap it is matter if you want to make a lot or a little they retail for $90 to $100 a piece but that where you get to be fair or greedy. It's all up to you what you do with the information.

For now I want to keep them, I work on slots as a hobby... Often the locks are drilled out or missing. What you said is good news to hear... The story about these locks is originally they are from "Las Vegas" and at some point, the casino replaced all the slot machines with new locks and put these old ones away and was forgotten. That was what I was told...

As you stated, the chrome locks have different dimensions and fit the back doors to console machines, such as the Extraordinary and Page Boy. The brass lock should fit Mills slot machine back doors.

Interesting... Maybe that's what that casino in Vegas had at the time, mostly Page boys and extraordinary consoles machines. Does anyone know if this also fits the Mills castle front as well and ones like it?
