Hi, I recently inherited this machine and I am trying to figure out more information on it. i can't find any online that have the same solid red paint or that are fifty cent machines. i'm trying to establish a value on it for insurance purposes, as I want to keep it as it's an heirloom. i've uploaded attached picture. thank you in advance.

I'm guessing the repainting affects the value. Is it being a half dollar machine rare? i haven't seen any out there that are half dollar.

Wow, looking at some other posts.I don't even think it's worth ensuring since it's been repainted.. 1200 to 1600 if it's an amateur repaint job, which it kind of looks like it is to me particularly since it went over the chrome haha.. anybody else wanna chip in an opinion, I was really just kind of looking for a value here... I see forty three people have reviewed this post nobody else has an opinion?

the red paint realy affects its value then again it may have preserved the plaiting underneath, the only was to find out is to take the castings off and carefully strip the paint, if the plaiting needs to be re done it could cost a significant amount all depending how the castings are under the paint ant deep pitting or old repairs could cost big $$$

Award Card has either been replaced? or been revised to max payout of x10 coins?
The TicTicToe anywhere in window also revised to x10 coins and not x18 standard.
Of course, it may or may not payout as per award card, OP can confirm or not? Even
if does payout max x10 coins. The mechsnism may still have a full stack of slides
but been fixed to not pay out higher awards. Usuallly though award card would be
revised to x11 coins max? Unless its x10 due to coin thickness difference. If its been
converted to x2 plays per coin at some point payouts msy have been revised then,
Who knows?

OP, is there a working jackpot fitted behind the glass window ss difficult to see in pix.
OP, also does it have an original [embossed] backdoor with original working lock& key?

OP, Jennings buyers will usually pay premium for original x50 cent or $1 denomination
machines, particularly if original bakelite lightup versions as this one looks to be. I dont
think the red paint is as disastrous as some other posters. The buyers of x50c or $1 tend
to have them replated anyway so I would have faith closer to Radiorich123 valuation but
those buyers know what it costs to buy a nice 50c/$1 lightup with excellent chrome and
also know what it costs to replace or fix any non original parts and cost of replating too.

As others say if you can post other pix of cabinet sides and pix of insides with both mech
in situ and also outside then it would help confirming a more robust valuation?

The reelstrips and award card make me feel its spent sometime out of US maybe?
