New member here, question on a Caille New Puritan Cigar mach

Hello,

My father collects several rare machines and I've come across a source for a Caille New Puritan Cigar Machine in dismal shape (Puritan Machine Co.) (rusty and it looks like it sat for years in a barn)... anyways, what should be a good price for this machine? I don't want to get burned...

It has a patent date of 1901 on it... its cast iron, the window glass is busted and half of the card has been eaten, takes nickels and plays.

Posting photo's here will help. Caille & Mills cast iron "Puritan" machines have a wide price range, depending on condition.
Being cast iron, many are very rusty, and would have to be replated. Also, if the back door is missing, that is a minus. As
far as the award card is concerned, I have correct repro's of them. There was also a small swivel frame mounted on the top,
with a mirror on the backside, and card in the front. There is also a difference if it has Puritan Machine Co. in the casting.
After seeing pix, I can give you a fair price range for this particular machine.

Any info Slot Dynasty? It is a Puritan Machine for sure... not Caille or Mills...

The back of the machine says "Puritan Machine Co. Detroit, Michigan"

So what is the consensus, was $808 sale price
good for the buyer or seller or about right?

I tried to find comparative sales but had no luck. Just found
one sold in 2007, but no price.

Just by looking at the bidding towards the end there were four
interested bidders, so that tells me the price was close.

Any comments? I'm new at these, but try to predict what they would
go for before the end. So far, I'm pretty terrible at guessing the final price!
