He's at it again! "Look Out"! A new batch of Bogus Creations from the Las Vegas Butcher Shop on FleaBay.
Item # 221300693448 - Pierce "Whirlwind". This one is somewhat original, but has incorrect repaint, and back doors were never painted.
Item # 271300853306 - Groetchen "Penny Smoke". Incorrect repaint colors. Has cut-down recast Pace jackpot, that never came on this machine.
Item # 271300862501 - Groetchen 'Whatever it was originally', with a recast Bartender name plate, repro Tavern reel strips, recast jackpot that never came on this model, back doors were never painted.
Item # 271300888871 - Pierce "New Deal". Incorrect paint scheme. Has a recast Pace jackpot that never came on this model. Pierce had a completely different style jackpot, that was not mounted in the center.
When is this Jerk-Off going to stop ruining good original machines, to make up his Fantasy Creations, to screw more unsuspecting buyers? It has been getting way-out-of-hand, for several years.
He seems to focus now, on putting a jackpot on everything he creates. He also likes to add Beer or Baseball symbols to many that never came that way. He Totally Ruined two perfectly good original, early model
Caille "Jr. Bells" by taking out the nice original fruit reel strips & award card, and removing the original 'Ball Gum' marquee, to be replaced with a recast 'BaseBall' marquee, and homemade Baseball symbol strips
and card, that he conned someone into creating for him, that were never on any other machine. One sold on eBay, and the other in a VCA auction. He also did the same phoney creation on a Burnham & Mills "Baby
Vender" as well. Most of you know what this does to the hobby, when an inconsiderate individual like this clown, Bastardizes so many original machines, to make up his 'Fantasy-Crap', to screw a collector. Several
people have said something to him about this, but he just shrugs his shoulders, and thinks it's funny.

I seen him in person at the Chicago show several times. Only talked to him a couple of times, way back when he first started making Bogus "Tavern" creations.
Told him what I thought about it, and he thought it was funny. I haven't had a word with him, since he started creating all the other Crap, and ruining more
machines than I care to mention. The last time I spoke with him on the phone, was probably six or more years ago, when I told him not to order any more strips
and cards from me, because of what he was using them for. The last time I saw him in person, was at the Marsh Fey Liberty Belle Auction in July 2006. I never
said word-one to him, because I knew it would not have been pleasant. I don't think he had orange-died hair then. All I remember was his Red 'Sin City' T-shirt,
that looked worn out, and hadn't been washed in eons. Guess he's ready for Halloween 365 days a year!

I see that he just listed another piece of Phoney Made-Up Crap on eBay. Item # 221302044408. Another Bogus BaseBall creation, which he doesn't even know
what it really was. It's a Peo machine, even though he stuck a Pace decal on it. A childish paintjob, with made-up lettering. You would not be able to play this
machine very many times, before all the green playfield paint & lettering would be scratched-to-hell from shooting the steel balls. Also he doesn't know what
the marquee is from. It is from a once-nice Superior Confection "Fortune Ball Gum", that he bought on eBay, and made up another one of his Bogus Base Ball
creations out of it, and screwed another buyer with. The thing I can't understand, is why COCA allows him to be a member, when the organization preaches
'The preservation of our coin-op hobby', and he continues to Totally Destroy every machine he gets his hands on. He has Bastardized some so bad, that they
can never be put back to original. Mainly the ones that he has ground the name out of the aluminum top casting.

I am very new (almost accidental) collector to the point where Chicagoland this past spring was our 1st coin-op show of any sort we've ever attended. Wife fell in love with an Official Sweepstakes that was being passed off as an original, we left to think about it and a club member thankfully took us aside and pointed out how this machine is anything but original. Later...this friendly fabulous couple from St Char. Mo whom we had met at the club dinner, toured us around the show and pointed out many examples of the good, the bad, the ugly, and the fake Mills Slots. So there are great club members.

There were no super fantastic deals there where you could overlook a crappy resto...and what we expected to find were fairly priced items... but above all, we naively never ever even imagined being swindled by a fellow club member.

My point....these scammers hurt the whole hobby...we travelled over a 1000 miles to attend the show and leave with something. Yet in the end we we're somewhat shell-shocked....thinkin', we'll have to do more homework somehow. Then left....empty handed.

Out of the 4 BOGUS machines listed above, only the "Whirlwind" sold to some poor chap.
No Bids on the other three. POOR DEAR!
