Still Looking For A Slot in Atlanta Area

Postby GlarryB » Wed Dec 11, 2013 10:02 am

I'm still in the market for a slot machine in the Atlanta area. Does not have to be a restored one, but should be complete and (hopefully) operational. Also, a fully mechanical slot, hopefully a 5 cent one.
I have a 1912 NCR Brass Cash Register model 332 that I would trade. It's been refurbished and in great working condition. Beautiful machine.

Thanks/Larry

Have you checked out the ones listed on Atlanta Craigslist?
There are a small handful there.

Yes, I check Craigs List about every other day. There are a few, but none I'm thrilled with.

If you find one that needs work, I will be in Atlanta for the holidays and would be willing to help you with Mills, Jennings, Watling and most mechanical machines you could find. Also a Bally EM machine is something i am experienced in repairing.

Slots seem to be harder to find here in Georgia. Maybe due to we are surrounded by non legal states Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee.

What models are you looking for?

Thefatman, what part of Atlanta? I have a couple of vest pockets that need some work.

I just got done with my vest pocket. Put on new strips and got the mech running fine. I will be in Lawrenceville but can move around if I can get my son to drive me. I am flying down and wont have a car at my disposal. I also have new reel strips if you need them Let me know so I can bring them. There are 3 different variations on the center strip I have come across so I need to know the layout of the symbols on that strip. I have the 3 different ones.

I'd like a Mills nickel machine from the 40's or 50's. But I understand the Buckley is almost the same unit. I'm on the south side in Fayetteville

Saw a nice original Mills Brown Front Bell this morning at Scott antique show. Machine came from elk club he said. I played a couple of times and opened the back door. Has original mills key. It's in the North building(inside 285 left side of highway come for airport). Go in the main doors on the right, down the center aisle and dealer is on the right about halfway down before the restaurant. Best price was $1600. I think it's was a nice machine at a fair price. Dealer is from chicago. Hope this helps.
