Grotchen Zoom

Flebay item 181362334351 is a Zoom counter game.

The seller says the only thing he sees wrong with it is a replacement back door.
I POLITELY sent him a list of 7 other things wrong/missing items for this machine.
He has neither responded or posted my comment.

My question for this forum:
I have a Zoom and every one that I've seen has a square hole in the right side of the lower front casting, just below the flipper handle.
Surely Grotchen didn't intend for it to be left open;
What is it for?????

It has 3 screw holes that looks like it could be for a coin slide,
but every Zoom I've seen has the coin slide sticking out the top (which seems a little silly) and no cover over the opening.

I also sent this seller a note, about the missing parts on the mechanism. Below the coin slide entry, there is nothing. No coin chute housing,
token-pay tube assembly, no lower shelf, and a couple of other small parts missing. On the outside, there is no pay cup casting, and has an
incorrect play handle. The wood case did come in more than one color, but not black. The good points of the machine, is that it has an excellent
playfield, and flawless glass. This could be a later improved model, as there are differences with the inner mechanism main casting. And to top
it all off, this variation has a geared wheel device at the top, in which there is an extra hole in the upper casting, that shows a spinning disc, just
behind the OO in the word ZOOM. It may be an odds wheel, but not sure. I have two of these, and neither have that feature. I checked three other
mechanisms in my photo files, and none of them have it. The other variation of this machine, called "Skill Shot", does not have the device either,
so that device is not from that model. I agree about the odd location of the coin entry slide, but who was going for looks back then? It makes it
appear that Groetchen's designer finished the project, and said "whoops, I forgot the coin entry. Well lets just stick it up here"!

Whoops! I just found more important info on this machine, which contradicts some of what I said above.
This machine is NOT a "Zoom". It is a "Skill Shot" with a Zoom glass. The photos that I was looking at before, was of a 5c "Skill Shot", which
had the coin entry on the top left, and no wheel device at the top of the mechanism. I just found pix of a 1c "Skill Shot", with the wheel
device, (and now know what it does), because I have the instruction paper as well. And lo-and-behold, the ABT coin entry slide, is mounted
in that square hole in the casting, below the play handle, where they all should have been put.

I've always liked my Zoom; maybe because the mechanism seems to be such a Rube Goldberg contraption.
I think I was aware that Grotchen made variations of the Zoom, but don't think I've ever actually seen a Skill Shot (I don't get out much).
This one on flebay is definitely the only time that I've seen the wheel device at top of mech;
I would have never guessed the front glass was wrong.
