I am buying a Jennings Sun Chief and plan to use old mercury dimes in it. Will they work ok in there? How many will I need to fill it up?

Yes, the Mercury Dimes will work in your machine, but the biggest problem is, many dime machines are notorious
for acquiring jamming problems, because of the thinness of the coin. You would be better off using the later coins
that aren't as worn.
If you take a look in the coin section of eBay, and see what Mercury Dimes are selling for at this time, I am sure
you will not want to fill your machine with them. The coins will be worth more than your machine, waaay before
the coin box is full. By all means, don't let your good friends pop the winning coins in their pockets. One of my
Trade Stimulators that has a jackpot, is filled with Mercury dimes, (just for looks), because it doesn't pay-out
automatically. People always ask me if they get those coins if they hit the three bars. Ha! Nooooooooooo! =P~
