VCA Auction Attendance

Just wondering who is going to the VCA auction.

I plan on going. Don't know if I will stay for Sunday or not.

You are welcome to come over here anytime. We have plenty of machines to go around.
In fact, you can take home all the Fake and Phoney Crap, that the Vegas Butcher has destroyed
for the past several years. We don't want them here.
I have a good friend, and customer across-de-pond, that collects nothing but U.S. machines.
He doesn't particularly care for most of the British machines.

I spent a day with Fred Abel AKA "the Vegas Butcher" last year whilst on Holiday in Vegas.
Took a ride with him down to Thousand Oaks, CA to a COCA meeting and saw some awesome collections!
He was amenable enough and never tried to sell me anything, I think that he figured since I have been collecting since 1994 I must know what I was looking at?
Which isn't necessarily true, to be honest!
I, too, appreciate europeon machines, especially the early ones!
But because I like three reel slots and diggers, I invariably go for the US made machines and also prefer them running on US coinage!
So your friend in the UK is not alone in his tastes!

He had a lot of Stimulators and they all looked really nice, probably too good to be true?
So they may have been Frankenstein machines?
I cannot say one way or the other as I am no expert on these.
What I can say is the full size slots were Mostly Jennings and looked as if they had seen service in the Vegas casinos at some point. Many were in wooden consoles and they all looked pretty correct to me and I do know a Frankenstein Jennings when I see one.
